InterGlobe and Dufry today announced their foray into the travel retail segment in India. InterGlobe Retail Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of InterGlobe Enterprises Limited, and Dufry International AG, Switzerland, have signed an agreement to establish and operate retail outlets under Dufry's Hudson News brand across various transportation nodes like airports, metro and train stations in India. Under this agreement, InterGlobe Retail and Dufry bring to India Hudson News Cafe - a unique and a refreshing format set to change the travel retail space. With around 48 outlets opening across all six existing lines of Delhi Metro, the Hudson News Cafe concept will revolutionize travel for the daily commuters by offering them a comprehensive selection of reading materials, and a wide range of snacks, bottled beverages, health and beauty aids and other travel convenience items.
A joint InterGlobe Retail and Dufry team will work with DMRC to develop around 2000 square meters of retail space throughout the DMRC network over the next six months. Hudson News is a well established and successful brand and retail concept of Dufry, which operates more than 500 Hudson News shops in 10 countries around the world.
The Delhi Metro transports approx 18-20 lakh commuters in a day and is one of the largest growing transport networks in India. We believe we will add greater relevance to the lives of the Delhi metro commuter as we bring to them a world class retail concept and solution through our partnership with InterGlobe."

National, October 27, 2011: IndiGo, India’s fastest growing airline has announced Kathmandu as its fifth international destination on the airline’s growing international network. Commencing on October 28, 2011, the airline will offer daily flight services between New Delhi and Kathmandu at an affordable return fare of INR 4999 or NPR 8063 (All inclusive).
The first 6E-31 flight from New Delhi will fly out from Terminal-3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport to Kathmandu, offering convenient and hassle free flying options. New Delhi, 19 August 2011: In a new partnership with Taj Hotels and with the aim of increasing awareness on GDS adoption, InterGlobe Technology Quotient (ITQ), announces an all exclusive promotion for IATA and NON-IATA travel agents across India. The promotion would incentivize travel agents, who book for Taj Hotels through Travelport Galileo and Travelport Worldspan GDS.
The duration of the pan India promotion would be for 3 months spanning from 1st July, 2011 to 30 September, 2011. Prizes have been kept slab wise and the top producing agents would win exciting prizes like ipods, digital cameras, blackberry phones with one lucky winner getting an Apple iPhone 4.

Paris, France June 22, 2011: CAE (NYSE: CAE; TSX: CAE), on behalf of CAE Flight Training (India) Pvt Ltd., and InterGlobe Enterprises Limited of India today announced at the Paris Air Show that they are forming a joint-venture company to provide pilot and maintenance training solutions for the Indian aviation market. The centre will be located in the National Capital Region, Delhi, India and is expected to be ready for operation by the end of 2012.
This centre will further expand CAE’s training footprint in India, which also includes a commercial airline training centre in Bengaluru, two CAE Global Academy ab initio flight schools, and a helicopter training joint venture.
"This partnership will provide state-of-the-art infrastructure in India for training airline personnel in one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world,” said Rahul Bhatia, Group Managing Director, InterGlobe Enterprises. "We are very pleased to partner with CAE, the global leader in commercial aviation simulation and training, to offer the world-class equipment and services."

We have progressively expanded our presence in the country to provide training across the commercial aviation spectrum, from ab initio flight schools to train new airline pilots onto commercial aircraft type-rating training. We are doing the same for helicopter pilot training, from a new ab initio program that will soon be available to type rating on selected models.”
The focus of this new training centre will be to provide “wet” and “dry” type-rating, recurrent, conversion and jet indoctrination training for commercial aircraft pilots. Programs will also be offered for maintenance technicians. The training centre will initially house four new CAE-built Level D full-flight simulators covering Airbus and Boeing aircraft types being operated in India and complementing CAE capabilities at its Bengaluru training center. The Delhi training centre will be capable of expansion to eight simulator bays. Advanced training technology will be used such as CAE SimfinityTM multimedia classrooms, computer-based training and brief/debrief facilities.
CAE’s presence in India
CAE’s training centre in Bengaluru – opened in 2008 -- is the first non-airline operation to earn approval as a fixed-wing Type Rating Training Organization (TRTO) by India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DCGA). The Bengaluru centre currently provides training programs for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737NG aircraft, and trains more than 1,500 airline personnel annually. Customers include Air India, Go Air, IndiGo, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines and Spicejet, as well as the Indian Air Force.
Two campuses of the CAE Global Academy network are operating in India at Gondia and Rae Bareli. The CAE Global Academy is the world’s largest network of ab initio flight schools with a capacity to train up to 1,800 cadets per year.
CAE and partner Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) operate the joint venture Helicopter Academy to Train by Simulation of Flying (HATSOFF) in Bengaluru. CAE and the Airports Authority of India are also initiating an ab initio helicopter training program at CAE Global Academy Gondia.

New Delhi, June 14, 2011: India’s youngest and fastest growing airline, IndiGo, is set to soar into international skies after the successful completion of five years of domestic operations. IndiGo will operate its maiden international flight on 1st September, 2011 connecting New Delhi with Dubai. During the month of September, the airline will commence daily service on the Delhi-Bangkok-Delhi and Delhi-Singapore-Delhi routes. It will subsequently connect Mumbai with Dubai and Bangkok with daily flights effective 02nd October 2011.
