INTERGLOBE APPOINTS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER FOR INDIGO |
Delhi, January 26, 2006 –InterGlobe Enterprises Limited has named Steven Harfst as Chief Operating Officer of "IndiGo", its low-cost airline subsidiary, effective immediately. Harfst will be responsible for all of the operational functions of IndiGo, which has ordered 100 Airbus A320 family aircraft and is planning to launch this year.
“Steve is an exceptionally experienced and successful hands-on executive with a deep knowledge of the airline business. As we prepare for the introduction of our spanking new Airbus jets into our fleet, he will play an important role in the company’s growth,” said IndiGo CEO Bruce Ashby. “I have the greatest confidence in his abilities to get this critical job done.”

Prior to joining IndiGo, Harfst was with North American Airlines as chief operating officer, where he was responsible for complete operations of the carrier. Harfst helped the company to triple its size and maintain profitability in the midst of a challenging industry environment. He is also a commercially rated pilot.
Harfst received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, USA.
