TURKISH AIRLINES TO OPERATE DAILY FLIGHTS OUT OF INDIA |
Operations to commence from Mumbai
New Delhi, March 7, 2006: - From (insert date) May 2006, In addition to four flights a week from Delhi to Istanbul Turkish Airlines will now commence a three times weekly service to Mumbai. Turkish Airlines is strengthening its operations in India with 7 flights a week from Delhi and Mumbai to Istanbul , with further connections to over 100 cities in Europe, USA, CIS, Far East, Middle East.
The service will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Sundayfrom Delhi and on Monday, Wednesday & Saturdayfrom Mumbai.
Turkish Airlines will be operating from Delhi & Mumbai on the Airbus A313. With this, the overall capacity will increase by close to 45% to a total of 1470 seats per week.
Commenting on the expansion of services to Mumbai, Mr Halil YORULMAZER, General Manager – India, Turkish Airlines said, “ There has been a growing demand for leisure and business travel to Turkey since we launched operations out of Delhi. The additional services have been introduced to meet this demand and give daily options to our customers in India.”
Turkey is becoming a popular destination for business and leisure travel. Apart from this, Turkey having the advantage of a central geographical location also gives excellent onward connection options to customers from India to over a hundred other destinations across the globe on-board Turkish Airlines.
