Galileo India and Kuoni Academy of Travel
announce joint training initiatives Launch Interactive CD-based learning tool
for Galileo CRS
New Delhi, February 12, 2004 - Galileo
India Pvt. Ltd. today announced the launch of GIFT 1.0, an interactive CD-ROM
based self-learning tool, to enable the travel agency staff and students to
attain training on Galileo’s Central Reservation System (CRS) in the
convenience of their own offices, schools and homes. GIFT 1.0 will be jointly
promoted by Galileo India and Kuoni Academy of Travel to travel agency staff
and students.
Speaking on the occasion Ms. Seema Luthra, President & CEO, Galileo India,
said, “ Travel industry is on the threshold of rapid expansion, and as a
result, there is a rising demand of trained professionals. With such
initiatives, we are hoping to ensure that this demand is met effectively, thus
benefiting the industry.”
The launch function preceded the Certificate Awarding Ceremony of
students of the Airline Diploma Course of the Kouni Academy of Travel.

India by 2020.The Kuoni Academy of Travel launched its first center in New
Delhi last year, which is fully equipped with ultra-modern facilities,

faculty, to offer excellence in Travel and Tourism education. It has opened its
second center at Hyderabad. Year 2004 will see opening of similar Centres in
other metros like Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata etc. The Academy has a central

industry.

accorded it the status of ‘Galileo Certified Academy’. The faculty of the
Academy is trained extensively and certified by Galileo, offering training to
