Air Lines Responds to Customer Demand with Additional Seasonal Service From India to the U.S.A

Mumbai, July 20, 2004 - In response to strong customer demand, Delta Air Lines today announces that it will be offering an additional daily flight, effective 2 November, 2004 through 1 March, 2005, between Mumbai, India and the U.S.A., via Frankfurt, Germany. This daily seasonal service will give Delta’s customers from India a second option to fly to Europe and the U.S.A., as it complements the airline’s existing year round service from Mumbai to New York via Paris/Charles de Gaulle airport, France.

The new seasonal service allows passengers travelling from India to connect to Delta’s nonstop daily services at Frankfurt on to Delta’s U.S. gateways including Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport - the airline’s hub and the world’s busiest airport; New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport and Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky International Airport. In addition, Delta’s customers from India can connect to numerous codeshare services offered by its SkyTeam alliance partners within Europe.

“Delta is continuing to see strong international growth generally, with our airplanes full and customer demand proving high to some of the most wide-ranging points we serve,” said Dieter Hofele, general manager, India. “We are launching this seasonal flight in response to heavy demand for service between India, Europe and the U.S.A. Through our own service and through that of our codeshare and alliance partners, Delta remains committed to providing customers with service to and from the world’s key destinations.”

Delta will operate its daily nonstop flight from Mumbai with a Boeing 767-300ER aircraft which has the capacity to carry up to 204 passengers in a two-class configuration featuring Delta’s award-winning BusinessElite service.
