New Delhi, India, June 16, 2005 - InterGlobe Enterprises Limited today announced its plans to launch IndiGo , its nation-wide low-cost airline venture. IndiGo has committed for 100 firm A320 family of aircraft with Airbus – world renowned for its customer friendly features and comfort.

The venture is being jointly promoted by InterGlobe Enterprises Limited and Mr. Rakesh Gangwal, globally recognized for his management skills and expertise in the airline industry.

The announcement is keeping in line with InterGlobe's recent strategy to enter consumer segments with products and services that deliver value for money and comes on the back of its recent announcement of a joint venture with Accor to build the Ibis range of economy hotels in the Indian sub continent. In the initial phase of development, the joint venture is set to populate the region with 25 hotels over the next few years.
