Preserving Promoting India’s Culture and Heritage

Culture and Heritage
Preservation
Every heritage site is the physical manifestation of a nation’s history and culture. The architecture, location and purpose of these structures together reveal unique stories of the past, which play a key role in cultivating a sense of identity and continuity among future generations. At InterGlobe Foundation, we partner with organisations that are committed to conserving this history by implementing the structural restoration of our heritage landmarks. The revival of craft skills and cultural legacy is also an integral part of all our restoration projects, enabling us to not only protect our heritage but also help create job opportunities within local communities.
Through restoration projects like Rahim’s tomb in Delhi and Indra Kund stepwell in Rajasthan, we have impacted over 6,550 lives while successfully preserving the historical and cultural values that bind us as a nation.
Revitalising Communities
through Structural Revival
The promotion of local art and culture through heritage conservation is directly linked to the social well-being of the community. Our ongoing efforts in this area are directed towards both the tangible and intangible aspects of heritage, which include carrying out physical restoration, establishing the relevance and importance of sites and creating awareness among communities in close proximity as well as the larger public about the value of preservation of culture and heritage.

The tomb’s condition was precarious, to say the least, when the project began. There were deep cracks in the crypt, the first floor and the dome. This needed immediate attention and the support from InterGlobe Foundation came in the nick of time to restore the monument.
