IndiGo, the low-fare domestic airline that is redefining airline quality standards in India, today inducted its tenth brand new Airbus A320 aircraft. Starting June 24, 2007, IndiGo will operate this aircraft connecting Nagpur to Delhi and Pune, with same-aircraft continuing service to Bangalore, thereby enhancing its route network. Commenting on this milestone, Mr. Bruce Ashby, President and CEO, IndiGo, said, Our tenth aircraft is one of the first A320s to include a redesigned interior with additional space, as well as redesigned overhead cabins, ceilings and windows. When you consider the enhanced comfort these changes bring, along with our everyday focus on affordable fares, outstanding operational performance on all sectors, and taking the hassles out of travel , we think that IndiGo has redefined the standards for low-fare carriers in India. After its launch in August 2006, IndiGo now has carried over 1.5 million passengers, and this number is increasing every day. With the induction of our 10th brand-new A320, we will further consolidate our presence in India by strengthening our connectivity in the cities we already serve he added. To offer superior service to its customers, IndiGo now also offers a wide array of food and beverages including freshly made sandwiches, packed juices, aerated drinks, nuts, and cookies. These food and beverages can be bought on each flight. With its tenth aircraft, the airline will operate 70 daily flights flying to 14 destinations, including Agartala, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune and Vadodara. IndiGo will take delivery of five additional brand-new A320 aircraft this year, taking the fleet size to 15 by the end of 2007. It plans to serve approximately 30 Indian cities by 2010, with a fleet of approximately 40 A320s.
