Kapil Bhatia is the Executive Chairman of InterGlobe Enterprises. He secured a foothold in the travel industry quite early, by starting his career as the Sales Manager of an IATA agency. In 1964, he established Delhi Express Travels, which gradually flourished into a group of travel-related organisations.
He continued as the Managing Director of Delhi Express Travels for over 25 years. It is due to Kapil’s vision and able guidance that InterGlobe Enterprises bloomed from a single company into a vastly successful conglomerate. Kapil is an integral member of various industry associations. He served on the Board of Directors of Andhra Bank Ltd. and Punjab National Bank, and has served as the Chairman of the Tourism and Aviation Committee of the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India.
GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR, INTERGLOBE ENTERPRISES
Rahul Bhatia is the Group Managing Director of InterGlobe Enterprises and also the co-founder, Promoter and a Non-Executive Director of InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo), India's largest airline. He was instrumental in the formation of InterGlobe Enterprises in 1989.
With substantial experience of over 3 decades in the travel industry, it is under his effective captainship that the InterGlobe Group has diversified its portfolio in businesses such as Civil Aviation (IndiGo), Hospitality, Airline Management, Travel Commerce, Advanced Pilot Training, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Real Estate.
In 2011, Rahul was recognized as the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by Ernst & Young and also by The Economic Times. In the same year, he received ‘The Outstanding Start-Up’ award at the Forbes India Leadership Awards as well. In 2016, he was featured on the Forbes’ Global Game Changers List.
Rahul holds a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – STRATEGY AND M&A, GROUP GENERAL COUNSEL, INTERGLOBE ENTERPRISES
Neena Gupta has been tirelessly serving as the Group General Counsel for InterGlobe Enterprises since 2008. She is an essential member of the leadership team and sits on the Executive Committee of InterGlobe Enterprises. She is also on the board of several group companies.
Earlier in her career, Neena worked with AZB and Partners and J. Sagar Associates.
Neena holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) and History from Delhi University. She also holds a post-graduate degree in Marketing and Human Resource Management from Fore School of Management, New Delhi.
GROUP HEAD – HUMAN RESOURCES, INTERGLOBE ENTERPRISES
KS is the Group Head of Human Resources for InterGlobe Enterprises. He provides strategic and operational leadership to the Human Resources Department and is responsible for integrating HR practices throughout the organisation.
With an experience in Human Resources spanning over 26 years across different industries, KS has performed a strategic role at The Oberoi Group and Bharti Airtel (Broadband & Telephone services), NCR. He has previously also worked with InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) as Vice President – Human Resources and was responsible for setting the agenda along with formulating and improving HR processes and systems
KS holds a master’s degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
GROUP CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER, INTERGLOBE ENTERPRISES
Pankaj Madan is the Group Chief Financial Officer of InterGlobe Enterprises. He is a vital part of the leadership team and serves on the Executive Committee of InterGlobe Enterprises as well as on the board of various group companies.
Before his current role, Pankaj gathered over 27 years of industry experience as the CFO of prominent organisations such as IndiGo Airlines, Bharti Walmart, Cargill (Thailand), and Telstra (Singapore and India), where he was in charge of all facets of finance function, leading businesses amidst strong competition, and providing adept captainship to multifunctional and global teams.
Pankaj obtained his Chartered Accountant degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, MBA (Technology Management) from Deakin University in Australia, and LLB and B.Sc. (Physics) from Delhi University. Additionally, he has also attended several senior leadership executive programs at leading business schools worldwide.
CHAIRPERSON, INTERGLOBE FOUNDATION
Rohini Bhatia is the Chairperson of InterGlobe Foundation, the philanthropic arm of InterGlobe Group. She is a non-executive director on the board of InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) and Chairperson of the CSR committee of IndiGo.
Under Rohini’s guidance, InterGlobe Foundation and IndiGo’s CSR have carried out some exemplary work in the fields of community development, heritage restoration & environment protection. She is especially passionate about heritage restoration and waste management and has led this work from the front. The restoration of the Rahim’s tomb in New Delhi is one of the finest examples of her interest in this cause.
Rohini has a diploma in Textile designing and also serves as a Director on the boards of several InterGlobe Group companies.
GROUP HEAD – LEADERSHIP STRATEGY & DEVELOPMENT, INTERGLOBE ENTERPRISES
Roland Smith is the Group Head of Leadership Strategy & Development for InterGlobe Enterprises. He is also the Co-Chairman of the Executive Committee for the group. His responsibilities include learning, development, and talent building of the organisation.
Before joining InterGlobe, Roland was the Managing Director and Senior Vice President of Asia Pacific for the Center for Creative Leadership, chiefly looking after China, India/South Asia, and South East Asia. He is widely known for his expertise in the domains of leadership, transformation, talent sustainability, and high-functioning teams, and has played an important role in organisational transformations and strategy refinement across the globe.
Roland holds an undergraduate degree in Finance, a master’s degree in Instructional/Educational Technology, and a Ph.D. in Organisational Development/Adult Education.
GROUP CHIEF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE OFFICER, INTERGLOBE ENTERPRISES
Alok Mehta is the Group Chief Governance Officer of InterGlobe Enterprises and its group companies. He has an extensive experience in corporate governance, finance, accounting, internal audit, post-merger integration and related areas.
He has served as the CFO of InterGlobe Hotels and Philips International. He was also the Controller for Middle East and Africa at Philips. Earlier, he was associated with Ernst & Young and Thapar Group.
PRESIDENT AND CEO, INTERGLOBE TECHNOLOGY QUOTIENT
Anil Parashar is the President and CEO of InterGlobe Technology Quotient (ITQ) – the official distributor of Travelport GDS in 6 markets across Asia Pacific region including India, Sri Lanka. Previously, he was the Group CFO of InterGlobe Enterprises.
He headed important transactions for InterGlobe, including the purchase of Worldspan in India, and has successfully demonstrated his financial acumen by leading InterGlobe through every stage of its development. Presently, he is a member of the Executive Committee of InterGlobe Enterprises and serves on the board of several group companies, including ITQ and IndiGo.
Anil has over 30 years of experience under his belt, which includes leadership positions at Swiss Air, Asbestos Cement Company, and Delhi Express Travels. He is also a representative on PHD Chamber of Commerce, ASSOCHAM, and FICCI Forums on Taxation and Travel & Tourism. Anil is a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in Economics (Hons.) from Delhi University.
PRESIDENT AND CEO, INTERGLOBE HOTELS
JB Singh is the President and CEO of InterGlobe Hotels (IGH). Under his leadership, IGH saw a pivotal change with deep cultural impact which has translated into significant improvement in investment and operating benchmarks for the organization. Before leading the charge at IGH, he was the President and CEO of InterGlobe Technology Quotient (ITQ).
JB has an impressive industry experience of over 33 years in strategic roles across many travel establishments like Worldspan, Jet Airways, Scandinavian Airlines, and British Airways.
He holds a Post Graduate BTEC diploma in Management from Oxford Brookes University, U.K.
PRESIDENT AND CEO, INTERGLOBE AIR TRANSPORT
Siddhanta Sharma is the President and CEO of InterGlobe Air Transport (IGAT). He is responsible for all the strategic decisions with regards to the airline management business. Previously, he was the Executive Director of Corporate Affairs at InterGlobe Enterprises.
Siddhanta brings almost 40 years of cross-industry experience to the table and has been pivotal in setting up and leading various projects for Indian and transnational companies. Prior to joining InterGlobe, he served as the Executive Chairman of SpiceJet, Managing Director of Westmill Foods, India (a subsidiary of Associated British Foods PLC), and Country Head and Commercial Director of Allied Domecq Spirits & Wine India (a subsidiary of Allied Domecq PLC).
Siddhanta is a science graduate, a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, and an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.
BUSINESS HEAD, INTERGLOBE EDUCATION
Deepak Brara is the Head Advisor-Education and Special Projects at InterGlobe, and serves on the Boards of several group companies.
As an aviation industry professional for close to four decades, he was a Member of the Board of Air India as the Commercial Director of the airline, leading its global marketing, strategy and planning functions. He also spear-headed the efforts of the airline in gaining entry into the prestigious Star Alliance.
Earlier in his airline career, Deepak served as the Managing Director of Alliance Air, the regional short-haul airline subsidiary of Air India.
Deepak holds a Master’s Degree in Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies at Mumbai, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi.
CEO, INTERGLOBE REAL ESTATE
Amit Khanna is the CEO of InterGlobe Real Estate Ventures, which is the real estate arm of InterGlobe Enterprises. He is responsible for the setup and functioning of this new line of business for InterGlobe.
Preceding his position at InterGlobe, Amit was the Founder and CIO of ‘The Phoenix Fund’ – a SEBI registered Portfolio Management Scheme that invested in multiple asset classes. He was also the Founder Director at GRAAVAA, whose functions included mining, processing, and retailing of natural and semi-precious stones. He is currently a member of the advisory board of Udayan Care, an NGO for abandoned and orphaned children.
Amit is a Chartered Accountant and holds a PGPM (MBA) diploma from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He has also completed Harvard Business School’s Owners President Management Program (OPM49).
