This position is responsible for identifying new and covering existing market segments; make sales calls and presentations, formulate sales procedures and implement them; and thereby achieve given cargo sales targets for the assigned Product.
a) Budgeting & Costing: Prepare the budget for the branch based on the branch traffic potential. Monitor the performance of the branch and costs incurred against the set budget and take corrective action, if required.
b) Achievement of Revenue Target: Responsible for achieving the assigned targets and maintain reasonable revenue growth. Increase market share and improve market presence at a faster rate than competition.
c) Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of market trends & developments to fine tune sales/marketing strategies.
d) Workflow Process and Administration: Establish and maintain operating procedures at the branch as per the defined company policy. Plan, develop, maintain and continuously supervise efficient processing of passengers, cargo, and baggage from the designated branch. Direct supervision on all sales/marketing/reservation/ticketing activities. Keep a close watch on the day-to-day functioning of all the departments.
e) Staff Management: To be undertaken by allocating responsibilities and monitoring performance of the branch staff against the same. Ensure follow-up systems are utilized by all staff to improve efficiency and avoid lapses.
f) Provide leadership and motivation to the branch staff. Responsible for the training and development of all the staff in the branch.
g) Prepare staff work schedules so as to ensure maximum efficiency. Make sales call patterns for self & the team and daily sales reports to be made & discussed with the Reporting Manager.
h) Office Administration: Maintain office discipline and punctuality enforce office procedures & systems, general administration and supervision of the office and insist on neatness and tidiness.
i) Strategic Business Alliances: Administer lease deeds, contracts and rental agreements for branch facilitates and equipment.
j) Develop and maintain relationships with key government agencies, corporate clients, travel agents and individual passengers. Undertake personal sales calls on Agents and, Corporate houses as frequently as possible
k) Credit Control: Monitor credit to travel agents and ensure strict control on credits.
l) MIS & Reporting: Ensure timely submission of monthly reports for all carriers represented to the concerned staff at HO.
m) Responsible for the smooth functioning of the sales department at all times. Ensure that all the Files pertaining to the departments are maintained properly, including personnel file.
n) Customer Relations/ Management: Ensure customer satisfaction at all times by providing quality services to meet individual customer needs.
